Move Over Aperol and Campari… this Amaro Gin Spritz is a delightful crowd-pleaser!
‘Spritz Season’ has been in full swing for a while now, but this one focuses on fresh ingredients and highlights small-batch fermented Amaro Hibiscus for a quick, easy, and vibrant cocktail that is a summertime staple in our house.
The Strawberry Luck Duck is simply a Gin & Amaro-based Spritz served in a tall glass over ice.
We like using strawberries and basil to add vibrant fresh flavors to balance the bitterness of the amaro, as they are something we often have on hand. No one wants to make a special trip to the store for that one ingredient you don’t have!
While you can use any Gin you’d like, we support our local distilleries here in San Diego as much as possible and used Old Harbor Gin from their Adventure Series for this cocktail. You could, of course, swap in your preferred White Rum or Vodka for this cocktail to suit your preference.
