Orange Citrus Glaze

Kismet Refining
Looking for something different? I am in love with using our vinegar as the liquid component for icing as it adds a delicious tang that off sets the sweetness of the sugar! I owe credit to @itsholly for making it first with our hibiscus vinegar!

If we’re just baking for ourselves at home we usually use coconut sugar or sucanant. Just make sure you grind them fine otherwise it will be quite gritty. The color is significantly darker but adds so much yummy caramel flavor— if that works with whatever your’re making!

Servings 1 .5 cups

Ingredients

  • 3.5 oz powdered sugar
  • 1 tbsp Orange Zest
  • 1 oz Cream Cheese
  • 4 tea Corn Starch
  • 2 tbsp Orange Vinegar
  • 1/2 tea Vanilla Extract or Dab of Vanilla Bean Paste

Instructions

  • Mix all sugar, cream cheese, corn starch, and zest together.
  • Whisk in Orange Vinegar
  • Drizzle over scones, bundt cakes, cookies, muffins, whatever you want to make a little extra special!

Notes

We did use ground coconut sugar in this video, which contributed to the darker color. We also recommend using sucanant as a sugar option.
For a piping bag; ziploc bag with tip cut off works, as well as small measuring cup with a pouring tip.
